Spatial
Navigation

Along with helping us to orient, regulate, and navigate our emotions, our wonderful Hippocampus also helps us orient, regulate, and navigate our physical space.

Our Hippocampus processes our spatial awareness coding, storing, recalling, and decoding our environment, attaching short term memory to this information, constructing a cognitive map of our world and our place in that world.

The more we exercise our spatial memory and ability to navigate, the better it becomes, and the grey matter where our brain stores this information grows larger.

When we look up. Pay attention. Expand our awareness, we create our own cognitive map of the world, full of physically interconnected networks of knowledge and awareness of ourselves and our place in that world.

We construct the world and our place in this world.
